Abstract

As an environmentally friendly application of renewable energy, pico-hydro power plants are a prime option, especially for remote areas with sufficient water flow. However, the effectiveness of pico-hydro power remains a matter of debate, particularly regarding the angle and rpm required to generate sufficient electrical power. The method is carried out by designing and building a multi-Archimedes screw turbine prototype that applies a transmission system to improve the performance of the turbine rotation in parallel. The test results show that the 45-degree turbine tilt angle configuration produces a turbine rotation of 97 rpm, which indicates optimal efficiency in utili
